Problems in printing with Internet
Explorer
If your are using Internet Explorer 4.0 and
found that you cannot print International characters like Korean
and Chinese, please checking the following points:
- Check your Printer Driver. Is it the
one provided with Windows 95 / 98? If not, try to replace
it. To improve normal printer performance, the printer
manufacturer tends to simplify the operations of their
drivers. Therefore, if your printer has only drivers
provided by the manufacturer (e.g. HP LaserJet 5), then
you are very unlikely to be able to print your
multilingual document.
- If not, then are you using a beta
version of Internet Explorer 4 or Windows 98? If so, you
shall upgrade them to release version. However, if you
have Internet Explorer 5 installed, no need to worry. It
is capable of printing multilingual pages.
- If you have Office 97 installed, try
to open the homepage with Word 97 and check if you can
print it out with Word 97.
- If neither the points help, please
write to me, with details of your configuration. I am
very willing to help you. :-)
- If I cannot help you, you can still
write to Microsoft to look for solution. But please be
patient for their response. Ha!
- And if you have got enough money, you
can try to upgrade your system to run Windows NT 4.0 /
Windows 2000. They can provide a pure Unicode
envrionment. :-p
